Ms. Barbara Celebration

Ms. Barbara speaking to crowd of people on the sidewalk

On December 12, 2020 Auchentoroly Terrace community residents and supporters safely gathered outdoors in honor of Ms. Barbara Anderson-Dandy’s twenty years of incredible service as founder and President of the New Auchentoroly Terrace Association.

Elected officials including City Council President Nick Mosby and 7th District Councilman James Torrence shared citations, newly elected ATA President Graham Coreil-Allen shared letters of appreciation from partners; and numerous neighborhood leaders, residents, and guests shared their personal thanks. Ms. Barbara was joined by her mother Mrs. Alfreda B. Mathews and her husband Mr. Gene. Speakers included Mondawmin Neighborhood Improvement Association President Sandra Almond-Cooper, Greater Mondawmin Coordinating Council Vice President Reverend Keith Bailey, State’s Attorney Office Community Laison Reginald Williams, Rails-to-Trails Director of Trailsnation Jim Brown, Baltimore City Police Sergeant Jesse Rosser, ATA Honorary Member Ms. Joyce Chapman, Ms. Barbara’s god daughter Akilah Bell, Delta Cori Ramos, ATA Treasurer and former CHAP Commissioner Donna Cypress, and ATA Vice President Cheryl Bailey Solomon.

As a permanent symbol of gratitude, ATA and Baltimore City presented Ms. Barbara with her very own ceremonial street sign proclaiming, “Ms. Barbara Terrace”. Much love and appreciation to Ms. Barbara, “the #1 Ambassador of Auchentoroly Terrace!”
