ATA Awarded Grants for 2900 Parkwood Block Beautification

The New Auchentoroly Terrace Association is pleased to announce that our organization has been awarded a $1,000 grant from Lifebridge Health and an $11,000 grant from the Baltimore Community Foundation for beautification on the 2900 block of Parkwood Ave. These grants will pay for new high quality planters, plants, replacing the deteriorated “Parkview” sign with a new community bulletin board / sign, and a community inspired mural. The goal of these improvements is to improve the quality of life for residents on our most challenged block, to attract reinvestment in the vacant buildings, and to improve public safety by reclaiming the block through public art and landscaping. The improvements will take place this spring, followed by a celebratory block party. ATA thanks Lifebridge Health and the Baltimore Community Foundation for their generous support.

ATA is seeking adult volunteers to assist with installation and event organizing, as well as local teenagers interested in serving as paid artist assistants. If you or a family member would like to be involved in helping to setup the planters, construct the kiosk, and/or paint the mural, please reach out to ATA at auchentorolyterraceassociation@gmail.com.
