ATA’s Walking Tour on Friday, November 17, 2017 was a huge success. Special Thanks to Councilman Leon Pinkett for organizing the many city agencies that could address our concerns, on the spot, in reference to vacant properties, sanitation, code violations, loitering, etc.
Through recent op-ed's Auchentoroly Terrace residents and Mondawmin area advocates are increasingly calling for ways to reconnect Druid Hill Park with our surrounding neighborhoods. Currently Reservoir Hill, Auchentoroly Terrace, and Mondawmin are all cut off from Baltimore's historic urban park by dangerous five-to-nine lane highways built in the 1940s-1960s.
Residents are invited to attend Councilman Leon F. Pinkett III’s 7th District Town Hall Meeting on Saturday October 14th, 2017 from 11AM – 2PM in the Mini Conference Room LOT E near the Faculty Parking lot area at Baltimore City Community College. The theme of this town hall is transportation and will have representatives from Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT), Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), Rails to Trails Conservancy, and Bikemore giving presentations. The New Auchentoroly Terrace Association’s Back-To-School Bonanza held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Liberty Pavilion in Druid Hill Park, was a huge success. Special thanks to MECU for the Neighborhood Event Grant. Many thanks to the awesome committee of volunteers that helped organize the event. Also, a special thanks to Tim Regan, President and CEO of Whiting-Turner Contracting Company for their generous donation, as well as our many community partners. Our youth and residents had a fun-filled day in the park and received book bags filled with school supplies.
