Local residents are invited to the New Auchentoroly Terrace Association 2019 Youth Jam Sunday, August 25, 1-5pm, at the Liberty Pavilion in Druid Hill Park. Celebrate our community and enjoy free health and safety resources including dental supplies from Jackson-George Dental, the Pratt Bookmobile, bicycle repair with Bikemore, anti-bullying humor exercises with Lil Laughs, and self-defense demonstrations from Umar Boxing. Representatives from city agencies, community partners, and elected offices will also share important information. Come out to enjoy free food, music, t-shirts promoting community pride, and all ages lawn games.
The Access Project for Druid Hill Park (TAP Druid Hill) invites residents living on the west side of Druid Hill Park to participate in a set of pedestrian safety walks on Saturday June 29, 2-4pm, and Saturday July 27, 2-4pm. Walk in community while identifying opportunities for making our streets safer, especially for seniors and children on foot, wheelchair, bicycle, and e-scooter.
